Review of Deepwater Horizon (2016) by Rob T — 10 Oct 2016

One of the worst movies I have ever seen. Could have been fantastic, interesting and educational, however the dialogue was crappy/cheesy/not believable like it was written by Aaron Sorkin. Cinematography was completely distracting as the camera never seemed to be upright - tons of odd angles and things so close-up you couldn't even tell what you were looking at before it switched to another bad angle 1 second later.

Story line was good and special effects were awesome but too close-up. Could have been great and told a great, heroic story about the 11 lives that were lost but all the money went into the wrong stuff.

Wait for DVD.
