Pure (but completely enjoyable) rubbish. The bad acting, dodgy effects, and stupid catchphrases alternate between being cringe-worthy or downright hilarious, and "Deep Rising" also gets bonus points for occasionally turning an action film cliche on it's head.
An amusing diversion.
