Review of Deep Rising (1998) by Matthias L — 07 Jan 2010

I actually hunkered down to watch/finish watching this (the first time I saw it on the tube, I was heading out the door & didn't catch the end). Anyways, I still think it wasn't so bad (other than the final reveal of the monster showed that they were battling what seemed to be a horribly disfigure, mutated, retarded manatee-octopus), but at that point you've already sat through most of the movie and if you're still watching it, you've already committed to suspending your disbelief.

I gave it an extra half star for the ending (when they finally make it to island, that was somewhat new or different).
