Review of Deep Impact (1998) by Corey K — 09 Nov 2008
The "Independence day" type movies are a brand of vodka all their own. This one didn't rely on action sequences (in fact it seemed like they cut some). Deep Impact made you care for the charachtures, and the human race.
There wasn't a looming threat (oh, wait, there was) that you had to fight and run from or destroy. Good acting in this one. Tugs on the heart strings, but I liked Independence day more.
