A typical Hollywood disaster which was rife in the mid 90's. Not Morgan Freeman's finest hour. I prefer his More Than adverts. Having said that I have been compelled to watch this film until 1:30am.
You can see elements of disaster films from the 00's so it has set a trend. Take the Eastern Seaboard Tsunami from The Day After Tomorrow and asteroid drilling from Armageddon. Poor but completely watchable.
