The average B-range scary movie keeps the gore dumb and storyless, but this movie made sharks smart. LL Cool J's performance as the "Preacher" rivals Garey Busey's appearance as a pomeranian.
Saffron Burrows has the perfect attractiveness to be in a horror movie as a scientist. Easily the best shark thriller since Jaws: The revenge.
