Review of Deep Blue Sea (1999) by Lee B — 24 Sep 2009

This is a movie with great moments. And it is refreshing that it doesn?t follow the typical pecking order of who dies when, sort of. But I remember my cousin telling me to see this movie even though I was in a phase of banning movies starting LL Cool J, Ice Cube and a few other rappers. He said ?Smart Sharks? (he didn?t remember the movie?s name) was fun. Well, I wasn?t too impressed when I finally saw it. There are big lapses in logic that made me not really appreciate the parts that were supposed to be fun.

Let?s say, middle type scary-action-thriller. But there are so much better out there. One thing to say, though, Thomas Jane is underrated in these kind of roles. Cast him in more action movies please.
