Review of Dedication (2007) by Ben H — 07 Feb 2008
Dedication starts with a whirlwind of expletives and quirks and genuinely takes you by surprise. However, halfway through, it falls into a conventional Rom-Com pattern and in doing so somewhat ruins the fantastically unusual beginning by becoming predictable.
Nevertheless, Billy Crudup's acerbic character is marvellously abrupt and bonkers and it has also got a great soundtrack. Flawed, but worth a watch...
