Review of Dedication (2007) by Lilianetty L — 11 Jan 2012
Is not a boring film. Is a life film, a moral film, a movie that it tell us that life is joy and not a depressing thing. That we keep skipping things because we are afraid of the truth of living it. Those who said the film was boring or a bit boring do not know how to enjoy life and live it's joy with happiness and dignity.
Plot: Henry has a problem but still he should learn to live with it. Lucy also has another problem to resolve and it's her ex-boyfriend. Both worlds collide when the thing goes around books and ilustration or even romanticism. If you love 7th Art, this movie is defenetly for you. Stars? Defenetly yes.
Acting: I must admit I saw the movie for two things: story-telling and acting. And here's the thing...Mandy Moore proved me wrong. She was inspiring on her role. She nailed it, risk it all with her skills, who have evolved some not quite much but some. She surprised me really. Same Billy as Henry. I think is the first time I watch a film with him in it. Must see more of his work since he did a great job here. Tom as Rudy also did an excellent job as always. The rest of the cast did marvelous (that includes yes...Martin Freeman). Stars? Yes.
Music: Not the best songs or elements to use but for an indie film or whatever you call it, it was great. The musicians and singers did a nice job here. Stars? Why not?
To end this review, 4 stars of 5. Enjoy and HASTA LA PROXIMA AMIGOS/AS! CHAO! BLESS YOU ALL!!!
