Review of Dedication (2007) by Michael A — 20 Mar 2008
I love this movie, hated the totally misleading dvd art & critic blurbs that make it seem like your typical bright, sunny, easy to digest, feel good rom com.
Quite the opposite actually. Quircky, edgy, funny, surprisingly dark in a refreshing way, genuinely surprising little indie film.
Don't let Mandy Moore scare you away cuz it's actually her best role (this & "Saved"). Crudup is one of the most under-rated actors working today & this is just as good as his work in "Jesus's Son", another indie gem with a terrific supporting cast.
Seek it out, tell your friends, & remember to randomly tell a small child what another term for beaver is.
