Review of Deathwatch (2002) by Yuuka T — 03 Mar 2006
Moody and depressing, the sense of foreboding could give rise to a complete sense of fear. A group of WWI soldiers get separated from their regiment and find a German trench. They kill and imprison the German soldiers taking shelter there and try to reestablish contact with the British allies.
Not long after, creepy things begin to happen in the trench. They hear bombs and shootings but see no one. Spoiler! The soldier you`ll hate dies. Ending was a little disappointing though it was a fun ride.
It would have been much scarier if the evil being was hinted at rather than shown in any form. Billy Elliot and Andy Serkis are in it.
