Review of Deathtrap (1982) by Sarah F — 10 Nov 2006
Tricky, complex thriller. It's not as good as Sleuth, but what is? Great performances although much of the original play's humor seems to be lost in translation. It is, however, a riveting thriller in its own right.
I had the priviledge of seeing it on stage with Elliot Gould (excellent) in a production that emphasized the comedic aspect of it and I've come to the decision that the humor works better on stage and the thrills work better on film.
Check it out.
