Review of Deathsport (1978) by Zach M — 30 Aug 2010
Another classic Roger Corman Sci-Fi actioneer, a 1000 years after the Neutron Wars the world has a few city states surrounded by vast wastelands, Range Guides, Noble Nomads guide travelers thru these wastelands and fight of scrawny cannibal mutants.
The leader of one of these city states plans to conquer the rest using his menacing Death Machines -armored motorcycles- so he captures Range Guides to use as targets for his motorized warriors, they won't take that lying down.
The stunts are well done, the SFX is acceptable, this is not a masterpiece, but it's relatively fun, and your chance to see David Carradine in a loin cloth....:P.
