Review of Death Wish 4: The Crackdown (1987) by David H — 21 Aug 2009
Hot off the heels of the insanely comedic 3rd entry, although it didn't mean to be, Death Wish 4: The Crackdown goes a more serious route. It's classic late 80's action. It had a really decent story to go along with the action.
It opened with a great scene and wasn't too over the top. This one is probably the best sequel and moved at a quick pace. It was longer than all the others, but managed to feel shorter. I would almost say it could have been made in the early 90's cause it has that vibe.
I think this was probably supposed to be the last for Bronson, but that wasn't the case. Good story and craftsmanship to go with the good action. Oh yeah, there is a young Danny Trejo with a killer haircut!
