Review of Death Wish 3 (1985) by Billy T — 07 Sep 2009
This one I remembered from childhood (well, mostly part about dude's teeth on a 2" by 4"). Death Wish seems to work well as realistic and serious (first one) or very over the top (like this one).
80s was golden time for mindless, exaggerated action movies with funny oneliners and not much of a plot. Movie really started from first minute and Bronson's character didn't need much convincing to go back to old habits.
Gangmembers were again caricatures with negative mohawks, crazy facepaints and 80s fashion leatherclothes. This time streetcrime was fought with traps and very heavy weapons like WW2 machineguns and anti-tank weapons.
Ed Lauter is the best to play badass cop - really love'd his performance. Also was nice to see young Marina Sirtis ... boobshot of her came as surprise. Very entertaining 80s actionmovie if into that sort of things.
