Don't expect John Wick action scenes, but the film was quite entertaining. Willis was perfectly cast in this fresh reboot. I also enjoyed Vincent D'Onfrio as his brother. We've seen this ultra violent revenge genre pick up steam with successes like previous mentioned Wick and Taken franchise.
This is screaming for a sequel. The movie does have the same feel as Death Sentence and Law Abiding Citizen. However, this film executes things better. Those wishing for more similarities to the originals might be disappointed.
However, the film still stands up well as a fresh reboot.
