Review of Death Wish (2018) by Timothy W — 03 Mar 2018

Had such a great time watching this film last night. Theater was full of 30-60 year olds (very few younglings.. unless there awesome Dad/Mom brought them) no annoying teens.... just a bunch of old school fans that just wanted to see Bruce Willis or Death Wish again.

A strong, well made, Rated R revenge flic. Fandom response is VERY high, while critic response is in the gutter lol - which has little to do with the film and more about gun politics. But, fuck them..

. if you like 70s / 80s thrillers... GO SEE THIS... a strange mix of the original film... and Jason Voorhees (I shit you not) Because , I assume the gun issues, Bruce starts with a gun.. but later in the film starts going "Jason" by coming up with fun ways to kill the bad guys.

I had a couple very very minor 'beefs' - 1. The cops are a little too dumb, and 2. Bruce might be a little to happy with his revenge..lol.. his wife was killed -- played by the delightful Elizabeth Shue (beauty teen queen star from the 80s that is still amazing at 55 years old) - But all that aside, if you are a fan of the 70s and 80s.

.. if you grew up with hears, revenge and gore... GO SEE THIS MOVIE and IGNORE critic reviews. Not sure how will this will do in theaters, but it doesn't matter since it only cost 30million bucks!!!!!!!!! - but this will be a HUGE rental for sure.

100% percent made for fans of the 70s 80s... Also, after writing this, I started to thing (I have to see it again) that maybe the lead cop KNEW what was happening at let him do it? --- hmmm. If your a fan of this era of films PLEASE support so we get more.
