Review of Death Wish (1974) by Alexander C — 05 Dec 2012
Charles Bronson is an architect whose wife (Hope Lange) is murdered and daughter is left psychotic and unresponsive, in a rape and robbery. Although he is a conscientious objector, he takes to vigilantism when the police do not find the attackers.
This is a realistic, chilling, gripping tale that spawned many sequels.
