Review of Death Warrant (1990) by Simon W — 06 Mar 2009
A little lamer than I remembered but this was about as close to gritty drama as Van Damage got to in his hay day and it does kinda work. It's really two movies blended together: The first being a grimey detective story set in prison with Jean-Claude stopping at nothing to get to the truth - But then it's book-ended by a villian that's so OTT and out of place that for the climax it essentially turns into a monster movie.
Still - great bad guy.
