Review of Death Race (2008) by Jason C — 26 Mar 2013
I like the Stath. As a famous anti-hero would say, he's a man who knows his limitations. This film also features other actors whose work I've previously enjoyed, such as Ian McShane and Joan Allen.
Nearly everyone has their good and their bad days. Paul WS Anderson however is a director and writer who never disappoints. His films are consistently tish and without joy. Taking a potentially exciting premise, his laboured action sequences and bland script, amateurish direction and pointless characters pretty much renders this a complete waste of the talents involved.
Avoid.
