Review of Death Race 2000 (1975) by Buddy B — 12 Jun 2009
In my mind this is an excellent futuristic set sequel to Cannonball. The world has gone to pot. David Carradine is now the worldâ??s champion Transcontinental Death Race Champion Frankenstein and he is creepy as bugnuts.
The film is shockingly gory but fits right with the overthetop goofiness of both the plot and characters. Matilda the Hun! Calamity Jane! And Stallone as Machine Gun Joe Viturbo! All the film was missing was Dick Miller and you would have had the perfect Roger Corman movie.
