Review of Death Race 2 (2010) by Steve T H — 08 Jan 2011
First there was just Death and then they added Race. This direct to video prequel was actually quite good. Definetly better than expected. Cast was pretty good with Luke Goss (Hellboy2, 80s "hitband" Bros) in lead.
Supporting cast included always delightful Ving Rhames, Sean Bean, Danny "Mexican Jew" Trejo and some eyecandy by wonderfully bitchy Lauren Cohan and Tanit Phoenix. Directing and story had that direct-to-video scent on it but end product was still enjoyable.
If you didn't like Deathrace remake from 2008 this probably isn't your cup of tea either. But on other hand if you like'd it this probably has something to offer too.
