Review of Death Race (1973) by Samantha L — 05 Jun 2010
This film takes place during a time of economic disaster. Entertainment has evolved. People find it entertaining to watch others being killed in death races. But when a racer named Frankenstein in the death race is 1 win away from being freed from prison he dies. Jason Statham's character is framed and is sent to prison. He was a former race car driver and he is now taking Frankenstein's place meaning he is one win away from being freed. Unfortunately for him the prison guard will try anything to keep him from leaving.
It was entertaining. It's your typical guy movie. But it was nothing epic.
