Review of Death Proof (2007) by Eduardo T — 29 Feb 2012
Grindhouse at it's finest. Although it has no plot this is a very entertaining film. This has all of Quentin Tarantino's trademarks. His foot fetish is shown again especially in this one. Other of his trademarks that where shown include lots of blood and lots of dialogue.
I like films with lots of dialogue so that's why Tarantino is one of my favorites. Except that in this one the dialogue isn't necessary at all. The dialogue is just a bunch of girls talking how they usually talk.
There where a lot of cursing which added even more laughs. This is like a dark comedy. I never even knew how girls talked until I saw this film of course. I have to say although the dialogue was horrible I really enjoyed it.
I sure would like to hang out with those girls until some stalker comes around in his muscle car to kill us of course. This film also included some nice cars. If you love classic American muscle then this film has some eye candy for you and I'm not talking about the girls.
This also featured some great car scenes especially at the end. The acting itself was really good. I liked the cinematography they used during the first part of the film, it gave it a classic film feeling.
I also enjoyed that lap dance. I don't have a foot fetish like Tarantino but I do really like sexy legs and they had a lot of that in this. If you like grindhouse films or films that are graphic and fun then this is the best out there.
Forget about Planet Terror or Grindhouse just watch this one.
