Review of Death Proof (2007) by Nate G — 12 Apr 2012
Tarantino's dialog just doesn't seem to get old. It's not the deliberate bogged down B.S. that a lot of movies shovel at their audiences. Despite the fact that many feel like Death Proof has too much of it, I strongly disagree.
I thought that the contrast between the calm and real dialog and the high-powered incredible car scenes were perfectly balanced. Oh, and what else does a movie need other than great dialog? Well, the most impressive and suspenseful car-chase scenes in movie history doesn't hurt.
I think it was something like 23 nail biting minutes of edge-of-your-seat action. It doesn't get better than that. Oh yea, the cast was perfect and Zoe Bell was incredible with her stunts and very solid in her first role as an actress.
