Review of Death Proof (2007) by Ross L — 05 Dec 2012

I thought I'd never be forced into such a position by Mr Tarantino but I have to say that this movie sucked ass. Gone, it seems, are the days when Tarantino's name was a seal of quality and a definite guarantee of film-making at its best. What I got from 'Death Proof' was a self indulgent, pointless movie that was devoid of narrative and about an hour and 15 mins too long.

It's a shame when talented film-makers allow themselves to be sucked into mainstream Hollywood and all too willingly leave their integrity at the studio gate for money. I can only hope that Tarantino stops producing awful horror movies (especially those spewed out by Eli Roth) and goes back to his independent roots where he is able to rekindle his passion for cinema. The Coen's learnt their lesson with 'The Ladykillers' please do the same Quentin for the benefit of us all!!!!!!
