Review of Death on the Nile (2022) by Exceladeogun — 15 Nov 2022
A splendid whodunit that's lush in style and cinematography. Agatha Christie purists may not like this one, but, Branagh's take stays true to the original text as much as it could, adding a little modern touches here and there, and a more streamlined view.
Some characters aren't as fleshed out as they should be, definitely leaving one with the feeling that we missed something crucial; the plot also progresses slowly for the first half, but when Death on the nile gets sailing, oh did it sail.
I'll have to add that Gal Gadot's acting was a low point for the movie, as against the other cast members she pales considerably.
