Review of Death of a Salesman (1985) by Luke G — 23 Nov 2011
Dustin Hoffman's fantastic acting along with John Malkovich's hard and brutally truthful performance carries Death of a Salesman through it's fantastic plot which was honestly written by Arthur Miller.
Miller's fantastic plot that even through the title foreshadows a tragedy that will happen takes it's turns with ease. It is not easy to act out a person who continuously looks into his past because of insanity.
He has to be sane yet insane at the same time. Dustin Hoffman's effortless performance left me with chills and earned him an Emmy and golden globe. John Malkovich also won an emmy award. Death of a Salesman's cat and fantastic interpretation of the story brought the film its successful rating of 100%.
