Review of Death of a President (2006) by Joanne L — 07 Jul 2007
This has to be the most impressive mockumentary I have seen to date. It tells the unnerving story of the assasination of George Bush in October of 2007. Mixing archive footage, splicing it with actors from the movie, fake talking head interviews with suspects and various heads of staff from the fbi, forensics etc - the film really goes out of it's way to make it as believable as possible.
The fact that they have managed to pull this movie off in the first place is amazing but then to go and do it with such skill is even more impressive. It's truly edge of the seat stuff and completely terrifying - as much as I hate Bush how fucked would the geopolitical situation turn if he was to be assasinated?
Everyone needs to see this film, really provoking stuff that doesn't try and shove just one side of the story down your throat.
