Review of Death Note (2017) by Dan M — 03 Sep 2017
Loved the original, its sequel and the anime version, so I was really skeptic about this one being any good. I was getting a YA-Twilight-y type vibe off of this in the beginning(along with the main female character looking kind of Kristen Stewart-ish).
Luckily it didn't suck like a lot of those movies. Good job casting Willem Dafoe as Ryuk and I like what they did with L. Not a fan of how the third act went, but it was different at least and left the ending ambiguous.
Good, but the original is better for sure.
