This is not a good adaptation, nor a good movie. It's boring, completely whitewashes the original manga/anime, and takes away all the deep, philosophical questions present in the original manga and anime.
The ending is just so convoluted that it barely makes any sense at all. It's just not good, so, please, save your time and don't watch this movie.
