Big fan of the anime so was a little concerned I'd be a little too rough on the movie. However, I thought they did a fantastic job relaying the strange and supernatural series into an almost believable live action version.
It seem the vast majority of the negatives are simply people who saw "Netflix Original" and didn't know the history of the series. If you're a fan of the series you'll love this, if not.
..I recommend you keep your expectations low.
