They destroyed the essence of Death Note, they destroyed the characters personality, the plot, the logic of the facts, everything! That's why I hate when Hollywood decide to make a movie of an manga story, they don't know how to deal with it, they disrespect all the fans and the autor of the original story putting their dumb ideas in one story that's already perfect, just needs some adaptation to be a movie, but that's not what they do, they read (or not) the story, then they ignore everything that the autor intented to pass with it, and they put their own yearnings for a story that isn't even of them!! This is very unprofessional, because you can't change the essence of a story, first because isn't your story, so you need to respect the autor, and second because you'll destroy all what it means.
It's a horrible movie, with a horrible plot, actors and effects.
