Review of Death Note (2017) by Dusty L — 26 Aug 2017
I don't have any issue with the Westernization or the change in characters (it's an adaptation, changes have to be made). While the filmography and the cast are all really good, the film feels more like a character study and we see Light Turner slowly change and resemble the original character instead of him starting out that way.
It's interesting and okay as it's own thing, but fans of the original anime/manga are not going to be happy with the end result.
