Review of Death in Venice (1971) by Marky S — 16 Jul 2008
Visconti's beautiful film of Thomas Mann's novella. With gorgeous photography and the music of Mahler interspersed with sparse dialogue which could only have been pulled off by an actor of Bogards high calibre (much of the story is related vicariously through Bogards physical countenance, movement and demeanour ).
