Review of Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008) by Erno K — 25 Mar 2009
Goddamn this documentary made me angry! This world really mostly sucks major donkey balls. Sometimes there just isn't any justice for the goodly folk under the sky. This documentary evokes some pretty powerful emotions, I can tell you that much. Not all of them are negative, however.
Some of the twists in the story hit me like a ton of bricks, as I was not familiar with the case of Andrew and Zachary. I'm not going to review this film any further, as there is no script or actors, only pure emotion. This is a very thoughtful and kind documentary at heart, but prepare to hate the shit out of the world if you check this out. Life is fucking unfair.
