Review of Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008) by Myles L — 13 May 2009
This is one of the most painful things I've had to endure watching in recent memory. The reason this film is so horrifying is because every bit of it is absolutely true; this is one reason documentaries can be an unforgiving medium.
The way Kuenne flawlessly orchestrates the sequence of events I'm convinced would make anyone believe that Shirley Turner was the closest thing to a demon I think a person could be. I recommend this with a heavy addendum, for it is the most devastating but most excellent documentary I've ever seen.
