Review of Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008) by Jon T — 08 Jun 2009

This story is even more horrifying than I thought it would be. It's not so much sad as it is angry. Breakneck editing and narrating along with a lot of righteous outrage from interview subjects makes a particularly vivid film, though somehow it seems to dull the impact of everything.

The film could have used a little breathing room for all of the twists of the story to sink in. They really do need time to do so, being so shocking. That being said, this is not the kind of film I want to watch again.
