Review of Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008) by Beth P — 11 Oct 2009
I feel like this movie should have slowed itself down a little bit. At times it was effective to have a lot of information rattled off quickly and then suddenly come to a halt, but overall I think I wasted energy trying to follow minuscule facts instead of emotionally engaging. Definitely an emotional story, but if it had just taken a few more deep breaths, I would have been weeping instead of merely tsking.
Definitely worth watching, though.
