Review of Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008) by Shane S — 29 Apr 2014
Powerful. Simply powerful.
One-sided, sure - every documentary known to man has a goal to achieve and of course, you won't get all of the points of view possible (unlike the Cleanflix documentary, whose adherence for all points of view is one of its bigger flaws since it muddied up the story) - but still a very effective story about injustice and hope in between all of the trouble. It's a dark story, but it's one with a hopeful ending - that one will not kill out of revenge and be expected to walk free because "oh, there's no real evidence for my murder.".
