Review of Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008) by Jard M — 14 Mar 2015
Dear Zachary might possible be the best movie that you will only ever want to see once. It is an emotionally straining journey and this movie will stick with you for quite some time. Honestly, I had this spoiled for me so I knew the where this was heading so I imagine if you had no knowledge of what happens to these people, you would be an absolute emotional wreck by the end.
What makes Dear Zachary so powerful is that Kurt Kuenne really loved Andrew Bagby as did everyone he interviews. It is a real insight into this man and his story and the story of his family and because it's told by those people and not a third party, it really resonates with you strongly.
As I've said though, I don't think I could watch this again but you must definitely check out this powerful documentary film if you have not already done so.
