Review of Dear Mr. Gacy (2010) by Nick T — 14 Sep 2011
Fascinating and disturbingly intimate insight into the modus operandi of prolific serial killer John Wayne Gacy. The story revolves around a college freshman with an obsession for serial killers which leads to mail correspondence and ultimately a frightening meeting with one.
Gacy is superbly played by William Forsyth who captures the chilling depravity and clinical skill of a master killer, torturer and psychopath. The production is Canadian which makes things a little strange however Jesse Moss plays a passionate proselyte in the form of Jason Moss, the real-life serial killer aficionado.
Just incredible to think this is a true story.
