Review of Dear John (2010) by Keenan S — 12 Aug 2011
Nothing more than a poor remake The Notebook (Which I already wasn't blown away by to begin with! One of the best romance films my ass!), set during the early 2000's instead of World War II. Once again like any other Nicholas Sparks-themed story it is very shallow and very stupid, only this time he exploits the current war by pretending this story is a tribute, and also throws in cancer and autism with reckless abandon to get some cheap emotional reaction from his melodramatic crap.
This film is shameful and deserves to be forgotten.
