Review of Dear John (2010) by Caz H — 02 Nov 2013
I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to. Whilst it was inevitably clichéd and saccharine at times I also found it fairly moving. I particularly enjoyed the relationship between John and his father: this was well played out and a nice surprise in what I assumed would be a cheesy romance.
This film delivered more than expected, had a suitable if slightly unsatisfying conclusion, and I enjoyed the performances of most involved.
