Review of Dear Frankie (2004) by Harsha P — 29 Mar 2008
A really sweet film with a brilliant cast. Shona Auerbach takes what could have easily been a cliched storyline of a young mother (Emily Mortimer) who pays a stranger (Gerard Butler, pre-300) to pretend to be the father of her deaf son (Jack McElhone) and makes it something very sincere and moving.
