Dear Evan Hansen was alright, and honestly better than I expected! A faithful adaptation that is sure to please both fans and newcomers alike. While it does play it safe and is fairy straightforward creatively, the performances ultimately sell it.
Can’t say that the general premise/plot progression isn’t extremely weird and questionable, but that’s been an issue long before its big screen debut.
