Review of Deal of the Century (1983) by Bill S — 10 Aug 2011
The idea of William Friedkin directing a Chevy Chase comedy is pretty awkward, and the result certainly is. The plot and characters are incredibly underworked, but it does manage a handful of amusing, clever moments - based in large part to the charisma of the cast - so it's not quite as bad as its reputation.
Still, forgettable and not really worth watching.
