This is the film that Ryan Reynolds has been fighting for several years to make and is a redemption for his rather underwhelming comic book movie career but also for the previous adaptation of the merc with a mouth on the big screen.

Life was always pretty unfair to Wade Wilson, a man who is some short of hero, working as a mercenary. But when he meets the love of his life, Vanessa, everything changes. Indeed. A year later, he is diagnosed with cancer.

And when he tries to heal, he's turned into a super powered mutant with an ugly face that must fight back for what has been taken from him. Sure enough, a revenge story isn't the most original, but the way it's executed in "Deadpool" is pretty brilliant.

Not only does the film have a really smart structure, but it's filled with creativity and tons of humor, whether that's deadpan or straight up hilarious references to real world, the X-men franchise and a bunch of other movies.

Reynolds is literally Deadpool, giving a career defying performance. Despite having a much smaller budget than other superhero films, director Tim Miller manages to make the action work. The visuals are nice too.

The supporting cast of characters is pretty strong too and the movie does have a villain you love to hate. It's easily a better love story than Twilight, but it also manages to rise above several superhero stories.

There is also an unexpected amount of depth in this film, that just adds up to its uniqueness and brilliance. "Deadpool" is everything it has to be and more.
