Review of Deadpool (2016) by John H — 03 Jul 2016
Nowadays, a superhero flick is one of two things: Funny action (usually Marvel Cinematic Universe), or dark action (usually DC). Marvel's DEADPOOL delivers both, and delivers in a way that changes superhero films forever. Never has there been such a twisted, foul-mouthed hero, and so much that you can barely call him a hero. I am blown away by every gory detail of the fight scenes and by Ryan Reynolds' embodiment of character he truly loves playing.
No one knew the superhero movie universe needed an asshole, until DEADPOOL came along. As we dream of a crossover with X-men in the near-future, we are anxious for our anti-hero to return to the big screen.
