Review of Deadpool (2016) by Jake M — 08 Feb 2018
It feels like we have been waiting years for this to arrive, Oh wait we have, But I'm very proud to say it's definitely worth the wait, Deadpool works on so many levels, It has some great effects, Good bloody action scenes, Some really funny humour, I don't think I've laughed so much ever in a film and it's not even classed as a comedy, A simple plot, Easy to follow, Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool, Excluding his Deadpool character in X-Men Origins Wolverine, It's fun and exciting from the word go and it never takes itself seriously, Its even got a pretty good love story tucked away in the plot too that has more heart than you might think, Lots of nods to so many movies too, It keeps it old school by not being pressured into adding 3D which was a nice change for me and my wallet, Disney take notes because this is how all Marvel films should be, Think less about profits and $200 million budgets and more about what fans want, For that reason alone that makes Deadpool Marvels best film yet, But it's not for the young kids, And I'm so glad it's not.
